Join us for an inspiring evening of conversation and connecting with like-minded folks.
How might we, as a region, learn and support each other in making the transition from dependence on dirty energy that puts the health of our climate and ourselves at risk to a safer, more vital and economically stronger future?
You are invited to a conversation about strengthening our region in these changing times. Within a few years energy costs are predicted to rise increasing the cost of food, air conditioning, transportation and virtually all aspects of living. Rising energy costs, combined with economic decline and climate change pose a “Triple Challenge” that requires stronger and more focused action.
Waiting for others to rescue us is counterproductive. The time is now to come together to explore and talk about how we, the people, can shape a better future.
Transition Towns is a fast growing, global movement tackling the triple challenge with creative local action. Thousands of communities around the world and in the U.S. are examining and using this positive, solution-focused approach and are starting Transition Initiatives to increase local resilience and economic vitality. People are coming together in their neighborhoods to talk and innovate.
Facilitated by Don Hall and Tina Clarke, certified U.S. Transition Trainers.
This Friday conversation is followed by a full two-day Training For Transition workshop.

0 Comments 0 FavoritesBy giving to Code Green Community you are contributing to a movement that is organizing the local bio-region of Tampa Bay to coordinate a localized shift in our economy towards a transition away from fossil fuels. This is an investment for the future. We are the ones we have been waiting for. These donations will be utilized to increase the effectiveness of our website and set-up future events and projects.
