Late Winter Ethnobotany Walking Tour with Ray Wunderlich & Rob Chicone

Event Description

Join conservationists and native plant enthusiasts, Ray Wunderlich and Rob Chicone, for a Late Winter Ethnobotany Walking Tour at Sweetwater Farm. This interactive walking tour around the grounds of Sweetwater Farm is on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. 

 

Learn how to identify Florida native plant species growing at the farm in late winter. Learn the historical and current uses of Florida native plants, including their medicinal and culinary applications!

 

There is a suggested minimum donation of $10 to $15 for this workshop. Cash or check only please. This is an interactive outdoor workshop so please dress accordingly. Following the workshop, stay for the Sweetwater Sunday Market and Live Music Series also located at Sweetwater Organic Community Farm. The Sunday Market and Live Music Series runs from noon to 4:00 p.m. Please contact Jenny Anderson at outreach@sweetwater-organic.org with questions or to RSVP.
