i have three yard long green bean plants that are doing greet... two days ago the black aphids showed up in mass... today the first ladybug showed up for brunch... they eat aphids... i intensionally did nothing to the aphids because i had learned from the black eyed pea plant that the ladybugs would come... ;0)

oh yeah... the ants seem to be mining the aphids too... needs more observation...in the name of research...;0)

I have grown many types of Beans in my back yard garden and only have bug problems with the Yard Long Bean.  I just gave up on them and started growing Dragon Tongue bush and Kentucky pole beans. Good Luck..
