I would like to charter work group dedicated to local food. I have a few ideas on ways we could team up with the larger community to find ways to create this. Sergei has a great endeavor we should all support him and in doing so support the growth of a local food renaissance.
One thing we could endeavor to do is start up a locallygrown.net website specifically to sell locally grown produce through online purchase.
Examples:
We could host informational speakers as well as workshops. Sergei and I have spoke about incorporating permaculture at Habitat for Humanity for classes for the middle class to lower their cost of living. I'm looking for a few others to help me in this endeavor it would be a local market we could cooperatively develop to benefit us all.
