I really love what Eric and Anna are doing with their blog. I was thinking maybe we could stimulate others to have their own blogs as well. I sort of began with my own front yard Gaia's garden.

I'm going to be working on my own blog series with topics over the summer about permaculture and how I'm applying it around my house. I was hoping to host a bi-weekly contest where we ask people to post a regular monthly or bi-monthly blog about how they are transitioning. Those with the most favorites on their blog after 2 weeks gets a ribbon. We could host a monthly award and feature the monthly winner's blog.

We could work out a cross promotional deal where the winning blog gets featured on Creative Loafing and Going Green Tampa

Effect: This will grow participation and have a daily/weekly readership. This will give ownership of the site over to those bloggers that choose to participate.
