Thanks for the offer to help.
The meeting with Florida Senator Jack Latvala was pleasant and productive this morning. My Discussion Group colleague, Bob Root, accompanied me at the meeting. Another Discussion Group member, Tammy Vrana, had expected to be able to attend. But, I guess she became unavailable this morning.

WHAT TO DO TO HELP?
1.   Encourage those who are constituents of Senator Latvala to contact him  (the sooner the better) encouraging him to go forward to introduce bottle bill legislation.

2. Do some investigation to ascertain the name(s) of Florida House Representatives to co-sponsor legislation to be introduced by Sen. Latvala on the topic of bottle bill legislation. (The Senator made it clear that he will NOT introduce this legislation if he does not have co-sponsor support from the Florida House of Representatives.)

NOTE: I am now preparing to fly north tomorrow....destination Vermont....where my husband and I recently purchased a condo. We will now become snow birds.....this year until about Nov. 1. This does NOT mean my work will not continue on these important topics of recycling and sustainability. I will be doing research in Vermont, as well. I plan to take an eight week course on the campus of Dartmouth, New Hampshire, that is entitled ENERGY SAFARI. It will be a tour of numerous types of energy facilities in the Town of Hartford, Vt. area. The SEMINOLE DISCUSSION GROUP is scheduled to resume on
November 7 with a guest speaker on the topic of Sustainable Fisheries.
Eric, please continue to keep me up-to-date, via e-mail, on the supportive actions of colleagues in Pinellas County. I understand clearly that progress comes as a result of folks willing and able to work together!
Many thanks,
                           Mary
