Solar Electric system sale! at Hotwire enterprise

May 9, 2013 from 6:30pm to 7pm
To those of you who are interested in a solar system for your home....The TECO rebate money was gone in less than 60 seconds on April 29th.  It occurred largely because those who were ready and waiting got their applications in right away.  This has really turned into a way for the utility companies to suppress interest in solar systems by generating a "wait and maybe get a rebate" mentality, as in, "Well, maybe next year."  And so another year goes by without a system on your house. One of my…See More

5 years ago a group of people began meeting up on a monthly basis to share together a film focused on expanding our consciousness and showing the inner layers of the world we live within. We watched together familiar films such as Food inc., Fresh, Ingreedients, Who Killed the Electric Car?, Zeitgeist,  The Corporation, How Cuba survived peak oil?, and dozens of youtubes were shared with each other via online sources.

Together we learned how to garden each one, teaching…

Agenda forward: Worker owned Media Hub

Posted on February 10, 2013 at 10:00am 17 Comments

I'm very much interested in Re-branding Code Green Community as a for profit worker owned media hub corporation. I want to work with whoever is interested and give away ownership of this website to anyone who has donated in the past and would like ownership. We can work together to create a business plan via creating media content for the Tampa bay area's green movement. I've realized over the years the power of youtube and would like to bring a regularly scheduled video updates of…

Hey Community,

I have been very inspired by a few ladies that are helping move the local food movement. Bree Cheatham from Dunedin Harvest  http://dunedin.locallygrown.net/market and Tina Levy from St. Pete Locally Grown http://stpete.locallygrown.net/market .  These ladies over the past few years have come in contact with me and showed me the hard…

Hi Eric!
Check out the link below. I found it pleasing that the Duval County Extension office was offering aun organic gardening workshop with an intro to permaculture!! Also, if you read through the newsletter you will notice environmentally friendly advice offerings throughout. They also mention the Small Farmers Conference. I attended a "Gardening For Grades" workshop at the DC Ext and they really have it going on up there:)
Cheers,
Cissy Stanko

Great concept. Glad you are promoting this in the extended communities as it is hard for me to travel into Tampa/ St.Pete/ Sarasota. I have the space for a sustainable garden but the bugs seem to think it is an all-u-eat buffet.

Thank you for the welcome!  I was drawn to your site when another group I belong to posted info that you were conducting a walk this weekend.  Alas, too late for me to join.  I've been on walks with Green Deane but he doesn't get this way too often and I have been looking for more local events.  Please keep me posted!

Thanks Eric! By the way, I was going to contact you to let you know of my interest in either of the Community or Transition Leader director positions. I will be visiting the event this weekend at the Gulfport Casino & look forward to meeting you to talk about it. Let me know if it's ok with you.

Regards,

Lillie

Yay!  You've made my task(s) so much easier!!

I plan to have an open house when I get my community garden established--I see I can post that here in events, right?

You are awesome!  (Whomever is responsible for doing this!)
