We watched together familiar films such as Food inc., Fresh, Ingreedients, Who Killed the Electric Car?, Zeitgeist, The Corporation, How Cuba survived peak oil?, and dozens of youtubes were shared with each other via online sources.
Together we learned how to garden each one, teaching…

DIY Project #20 - Emergency Power Generator
In my latest quest for Sustainability and Survivability I decided to build an Emergency Power Generator. This project was designed to give my family Emergency Communications (CB Radio), Lighting (12v car dome light and LED'S) I also included a FM Radio w/2 speakers and Two 12v DC Adapters to power additional devices if needed. Sweet Potatoes in the Back Yard Garden
The taste of a fresh baked Sweet Potato. A little butter, cinnamon, maybe some brown sugar...I love the Sweet Potato.
This summer I decided to grow my own. I did it the same way my grandparents did... With tooth picks and a glass of water and a few sweet potato's from the farmers market. After what seems to be a few weeks, (sorry, I didn't keep track) sprouts will appear at and below the water level. (change the water every few day's) These sprouts will grow into the "slips" that…
