Are cops the wrecking ball of democracy?

Military people are still part of the people and are easy to find and talk to -

and I never did fear them.

The police are another matter.

They are overpaid outright and allowed to enrich themselves with all manner of clandestine activities - I suspect.

What happens to all those guns confiscated?

What about those cars?  I see a few crappy ones for sale but the good ones go where?

It would be a crime if I were to get my hands on them and sell them without paying taxes or registering

(and registration is just another tax) and I would go to jail - but who would prosecute cops?

Besides, they live lives of such danger to protect us from, uh, from something that they should be allowed

a few perks eh?

Haven't you seen what they do on TV sitcoms?

I knew these new liberties for spying would turn from stopping killer operatives to internal snooping to find out who has what that can be confiscated.  Oh, but even local operations are conducted with military type secrecy - why?

There must be good ones out there but who can tell.

My brother is a pharmacist and works three jobs but still got underwater with his expensive home.  His wife commands a decent income as does his son living with them and none of them have substance abuse or serious problems but they still are losing their home - while the cops on either side still pound out their 40 hours (or 24 or 32) a week and are able to pay their home bills and the big boat and the F350.

You have to be rich to reach them but I am trying.

They are the ones that are going to be rounding you up to save their incomes.

Yet their incomes, as expense, should only reflect the incomes of those that pay taxes, the productive ones.

No production then there is no money for expenses.

Government workers have to understand that they shouldn't be taking advantage of the rules some parts of government invented to plow the workers under and wait for replacements.  Government workers are part of the population, part of the people and not aloof or elite.,

PS - I don't dislike the people of cops, it's the expense and corruption (if it exists and if it doesn't, why the secrecy?)
