We have had a great result from the fundraiser hosted today at Barbara's house. We raised a grand total of $185! Many new faces got to learn about Code Green Community as well as help by donating to our incorporation. Our member Rob Serenbetz's church the Spirit of Life UU has donated a total of $127 to our organization as well in helping to incorporate. The combination leads to a grand total of $312.

The future of Code Green Community depends on you! Our website has grown from 2 to over 230. We have been hosting events in the Tampa bay area for two years now. We would like to expand our events and have more pre-planned scheduled events in nearly every town in the Tampa Bay area. We would like to see develop a growing community of like minded people working with their hands, hearts, and minds on the most important work of our lifetimes. Transitioning our society away from fossil fuels. In a society that uses 25% of the world's oil with 5% of the worlds population this is a task that will be met with resistance, skepticism, but most un-importantly apathy.

We must rise above the negative to seek the positive of this human potential moment in time. We are the ones and the only ones that can change our own actions. We can't force it on others, but we can be examples to others so that they may seek to do better from themselves. This community supports both individual and community growth. For they are one in the same. We all are ambassadors to how we want our society to more resemble.

Things planed in the near future:
A steering group will be formed. The organization of Code Green Community will be built by people willing to volunteer the time to set-up a business plan with Score and books I've acquired to establish and incorporate as a 501c3. We will go over the documents and fill out the form work together. This Steering group will set - up the foundation of Code Green Community and it's structure. We have an established bylaws and Articles of Incorporation filed with the State of Florida. We will review both and update/adjust as needed. If anyone would like to be a director of Code Green Community let me know.
